Boccia returns to MRU this May

Have you ever wanted to try boccia? Or perhaps you’ve never heard of it, but are looking for an inclusive sport for all ages and abilities or disabilities. If so, boccia is a great option for those who enjoy skill and strategy games like curling or lawn bowling.

Join our partners Mount Royal University and Alberta Cerebral Palsy Sports Association from May 15 – June 12 (Sundays at 1:30 – 2:30 p.m.) for this four-week introductory program. Click for full registration details.

Boccia is a Paralympic sport, originally designed for people with cerebral palsy, but can indeed be played by anyone in this recreational program. Athletes can throw, kick, or roll the ball down a ramp to play. Have more questions or want to give it a try?

Email Tara at boccia@acpsa.ca with any questions. We look forward to meeting you out on the court!
