On March 24, 2021 the Calgary Adapted Hub along with our partners at the University of Calgary Sport Injury Prevention Research Centre hosted Dr. Nancy Quinn in the second instalment of the Community Engagement and Knowledge Translation Seminar series.

Calgary Adapted Hub represents a first of its kind in Canada where a consortium of academic institutions, municipal recreation, and sport programming stakeholders work together to ensure excellence in adapted physical activity.

As a founding partner of CAH the University of Calgary provides research and evidence-informed knowledge translation strategy to the collective to support new and innovative accessible program development.

In August 2020 it was announced that Calgary is about to become an adapted sport hub to enhance opportunities for physical activity and recreation for Calgary families experiencing disability.

It’s been a favourite space to play for kids and now it’s a little more accessible for everyone.
